Smoked Jalapeno Poppers at 225°F

Smoked jalapeno poppers are a crowd-pleasing appetizer or side dish. Throw some bacon-wrapped jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese onto the smoker in the final 1.5 hours of cooking to create a delicious side dish to your meal.

  • Smoker or Pellet Grill

Ingredients
  

  • 8 whole jalapenos (2 jalapenos per person)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (1 ounce per jalapeno)
  • 8 slices bacon (1 slice bacon per jalapeno)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the smoker for at least 10 minutes at 225°F.
  • Slice the jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise and scoop out the insides with a spoon.
  • Fill each jalapeno pepper half with the cream cheese.
  • Wrap each stuffed jalapeno with a slice of bacon. Use a toothpick to hold the bacon in place.
  • Place onto the smoker and do not open the lid for 1.5 hours.
  • Remove the jalapeno poppers after 1.5 hours or keep on for an additional 30 minutes to cook the bacon even further.
